The latest development in thermal spraying
Process:
Circle Arc is an electric arc wire-spraying process (arc spray) that we developed specifically for applying coatings on site inside cylindrical bores and on the outside diameters of complex components.
This process uses an electric arc to melt two wires. The molten metal is then atomised by compressed air and sprayed onto the surface of the workpiece.
Unique features:
Unlike conventional thermal-spraying processes, Circle Arc does not require the workpiece to rotate. This makes it possible to spray very large or complex components that do not fit in a lathe or rotary fixture, directly on site.
Applications:
Suitable for bearing seats, pump housings, turbines, gearboxes, motor housings and other machine components.
Benefits:
• No need to dismantle or move large workpieces
• Treatment of both inside and outside diameters
• Suitable for use with a wide range of spray materials (steel, bronze, nickel, aluminium and special alloys)
• Improved wear and corrosion resistance
Technical specifications:
• Minimum Diameter: Ø50 mm - Maximum Diameter: Ø2,500 mm
• Coating thickness range: 0.2 to more than 10.0 mm
• Surface hardness: depends on the wire material
• Process environment: suitable for use in the workshop and on site
